Inspiration: "Paranoid" is one in a series of films based on essays from an unpublished book titled Odd Man Out. Unlike the other two films in the series, which adhere a little more closely to the text, this short is only loosely based on the original work. While the essay details fears and anxiety related to surveillance, "Paranoid" takes that examination a bit further.
