The Pharmacon
"The Pharmacon" is a sci-fi film set in a pharmaceutical prison where inmates are subjected to testing, trials, and, possibly, termination. The film here varies significantly from what premiered in Chicago, IL. The original depicted a training film assembled by the in-house broadcast system (Pharmacon Industries Satellite Network). It was meant to be viewed as on of many such films that are frequently viewed by employees in dining halls, conference rooms, and elsewhere within the facility.

This short film was inspired by a short story titled "The Pharmacon," published in Bewildering Stories in 2018. The story is broader in scope, so it took some time to determine the best way to adapt it to my budgetary constraints. Ultimately, the idea of a training film allowed me to introduce the world in which a pharmacon exists and touch on some of LR-091's experiences.
