I thought I was a star
until I started to fall
Some said I was shooting
like a meteorite
So I made a wish
but it didn't come true
because I crashed into the ground,
which gave me an idea or two
Maybe I'm not a star after all
Maybe I'm a light bulb
switching on
Maybe I'm headlight
shining bright
Maybe I'm a marble in
a run, trying to find
my way out
Maybe I'm just a gumball
for someone to gnaw on

I thought I was a star, but
